Do you have an idea for  podcast audio drama or an idea for one that’d be great?

Did you grow up listening to radio plays and always wanted to write your own?

Are you interested in writing for something other than the stage?

This workshop is an introduction, for writers of all levels, to writing for audio drama. It will cover everything you need to develop an idea, story and characters into a one act audio play, culminating in a showcase performance.

First Day – April 12

The workshop kicks off on Sunday April 12. Join us at 12:30 – 15:00 for a crash course that will set you up for the full programme. Perfect for writers of all levels who want to learn the basics of audio writing.

The Workshop Dates :

  • • May 12, 19, 26 & June 2: Tuesday evening development sessions
  • • June 9: Final showcase performance at the Badhuistheater

About the teachers

Denis Burke

Denis is a script writer and facilitator, and co-founder of Downstage Left, an award winning Amsterdam-based theatre collective.

Jon Madge

Jon has been a writer for stage and audio for 15 years, with work staged in 3 countries created, and is the creator of the top 20 comedy fiction audiodrama series Keeping the Zoo.
