Have you ever wanted to write a script? Are you full of ideas and ready to put something on stage? This short course will equip you with the tools and confidence you need to get to work on your script.

We’ll cover the key elements of a compelling script, the habit of writing and where to find motivation. We’ll talk about structure, character, dialogue. We’ll talk about ways to get your work on stage. Above all, we’ll do lots of collaborative and solo exercises to help you get writing.

This short course is for first-time and aspiring writers. While the focus will be on writing for the stage, budding prose or screen writers will find much to stimulate them in this course too. Participants will finish this course with a framework to write their first script.

We’ll meet every Monday evening from 19:30-21:00 at the Badhuis theater, starting September 1 up to and including October 6.

Fee: €140

The course will be led by Denis Burke, an Irish playwright whose works have been staged internationally.
