This summer, the Ricciotti ensemble embarks on a musical journey to the land of Michelangelo, Morricone and Macaroni: Italy. During Ricciotti per Tutti, they first perform in the Netherlands — music rooted in the Renaissance, Baroque and opera.
After an overnight train journey, the piazzas, stations and streets of Italy will ring with the Norma Overture by Bellini, film music by Nino Rota and irresistible Italo Disco. Their mission: to bring Italy’s rich musical history to places beyond concert halls and opera houses.
Italian-born composer Damiano Pascarelli, now living in the Netherlands, wrote Aria especially for this tour — inspired by folk music from his home region. Joining as prima donna is mezzosoprano Roza Herwig, performing repertoire by Berio and Vivaldi.
Because that’s what they believe in: Ricciotti per Tutti! — Ricciotti for everyone.
