“PIVO – BEER ” CZ Theater by Croatian writer MIRO GAVRAN
We welcome a new Czech Theater group “SPRAJC”
(cocky/ Strutting proudly ) who join our project Making the Invisible Theaters Visible and who will play Mike’s Badhuistheater Amsterdam October 23rd 2021.
They perform (in Czech language) Gavran’s theater piece called “PIVO” (beer).
Miro Gavran is a contemporary Croatian writer of short stories, fiction and drama. His works have been translated into 40 languages, making him the most translated Croatian writer, and his books have come out in 250 different editions at home and abroad. His dramas and comedies have had more than 400 theatre first nights around the world and have been seen by more than two million people.
ABOUT THE PLAY “PIVO”:
Author is Croatian writer MIRO GAVRAN
Story: Two men looking for the truth at the bottom of a beer bottle …This conversational comedy tells the story of a father and son who live in a common household without a mother who left them soon after the son was born. This human story authentically depicts the complicated relationship of two men, without pathos and a smiling view of the world with a bottle of beer in their hand.
